Robin Sobey began her career managing various technical engineering companies before migrating to land development and property management. After 18 years of conducting economic feasibility and financial studies of new and existing properties, she utilized her expertise and began facilitating small business start-ups in the government procurement arena.
Wanting to ultimately own her own business, she advocated diversifying BSE Performance. After much due-diligence and planning, BSE Government Division was established.
Robin prides herself on implementing a work environment constructive and productive for all employees; fundamentally leading to satisfaction within the company and ultimately, for the customers.
Bob Sobey’s background began as a young person who thrived in the art of motorsport. Beginning as a young man, he charged the Arizona desert on motorcycles, quickly gaining an instinct for speed and racing. Early in his career, Bob worked on motorcycles of all types from sport to choppers before becoming more involved with cars. With a young background in motorcycle engines, he gained quick knowledge of a vast variety of auto engines and was a go-to for engine building as a young man.
Using both his skill as an engine builder, growing fabricator, and driver, he used his experience to climb the ladder of the U.S. auto racing circuit until he earned a ride in SCCA Trans-Am Racing series. For the better part of a decade, Bob Sobey drove in SCCA to achieve major results on a team with a relatively limited budget in comparison to the top teams. He was consistently a “Fast Five” threat both in qualifying and the race, challenging the teams that were built on superior sponsorship. Because he was the primary engine builder and engineer on his own race cars, he was able to tune and feel the car in a way many drivers simply could not.
His career was proudly topped-off with a win in Japan at the world-famous circuit, Suzuka. Bob had the opportunity to co-drive and finish the race to victory at one of the world’s finest tracks to end an impressive racing career.
Soon after his racing ended and based on his passion and experience in this specialized industry, he pursued a professional career in the retail side of high-performance vehicles of all classifications.
